Notes of Hope

  • Alberta Rose Theater 3000 Northeast Alberta Street Portland, OR, 97211 United States (map)

As a survivor of metastatic thyroid cancer, I'm so honored to host the annual Notes of Hope benefit show, which raises funds and awareness for programs supporting young adults with cancer.

This year’s concert, Friday, November 11th at the Alberta Rose Theatre, will continue in the tradition of providing great music from local talents and live storytelling from young adult cancer survivors.

Notes of Hope is a fundraising concert presented by the Hugh Howard Housen Memorial Foundation and benefiting the AYA Program at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Notes of Hope began in memory of Bethany Hartung, who died of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June 2007 at the age of 21. The HHH Foundation was founded in memory of Hugh Housen who died of Ewings Sarcoma in 2005 at the age of 25. Both Bethany and Hugh inspire us daily to find a cure for cancer and assist those young adults continuing to fight the disease.
